Holidays have come and gone........

The Holidays have come and passed, and it is getting really close for me to go and get Amayah!!

As the holiday events began the day of the 21st of December, I had one last game to coach before the festivities could begin.  Right before I was about to coach I had to look at Facebook because I have got addicted to checking it and chatting with other families who are adopting from the same agency and about at the same stage.  As I looked, I saw the one of the cutest pictures of my baby girl!! She was sucking two of her fingers and just looked absolutely precious.  I was so excited to see that picture of her and of course had to share it with my team, as well as a few others including my sister who had come to watch my game.

The Christmas celebration began that evening with the family.  I drove home after the game, and most of my family had already arrived.  We were still waiting on a few, but they were going to be coming in the next couple of days.  We celebrated the birth of Jesus the following day with the family even though we had a few still not there.  My dad went around and asked if there was something that we had hoped for this Christmas, and mine was obviously that I had hoped Amayah would be here to celebrate Christmas this year.  When you are an adult it is not about opening up a gift anymore, but enjoying the time that you get with your family.  It is to ceblebrate the birth of our Jesus and try to relay that message to the kids on the family so they make that their first focus and opening presents their second from the ones that love them. That is one of my favorite times at Christmas when we have the Christmas story and sing "Silent Night."  This Christmas season was filled with meeting a new nephew and getting to spend some quality time with family.  Quite a few people got sick over the holiday, but it was still great.  Every part of me wished for Amayah but I am looking forward to the day she will meet my family.  We went from Christmas gathering to another in the course of a few days.  I got to see both sets of grandparents and the family on both of those sides.  There were some I didn't get to see, but hopefully in the next year our paths will cross.

DECEMBER 27, 2012- MINE AND DAD'S VISAS HAD ARRIVED!!!! YAY!! (now just waiting on Amayah's)

Christmas was now over, which meant I had to get back to my job!!  So, I headed straight out to a basketball tournament.  I missed the first day of the tournament, but the head coach and two other assistants were there to handle the show!! :)  I was glad to be there when I got there, because I really enjoy the girls and getting to be there to help them. After the tournament we had practices to get ready for our next two district games.  After our practice on January 2nd, I checked the Facebook page again and there were NEW PICTURES!!! There was not just 1, but there were 5!!!! Oh my goodness, I was on cloud 9!! There were a few from Christmas and in the outfit that I had sent her, and then there were 2 from their New Years party.  She had got so big, but she also looked small.  I could not stop smiling all day and had to share the pictures with everyone!!! :)

Ok, so I must say she is BEAUTIFUL!!  I'm hoping to hear this week that her visa is being issued and I should be on my way at the end of next week!! I would appreciate prayers and I will make sure to keep you all posted!! Thanks for your support!!!
Much Love
Chasity
